Custom Calibration would be referring to a tune , When switching out the intake manifold your vehicle will need to be re-tuned. By swapping intake manifolds you have altered the air/fuel mixture entering your engine by making these modifications. In some cases, your computer, if this is a computer controlled vehicle will have enough range to compensate for your changes.
